Midwestern University proudly celebrated the graduation of 1,733 master’s and doctoral degree recipients during 14 commencement ceremonies. These ceremonies marked the beginning of professional healthcare careers for graduates across a wide range of disciplines.

At commencement ceremonies held from May 28th to June 4th at both Midwestern campuses, students heard inspirational remarks from their Deans, Associate Deans, and fellow classmates.

Reflecting on the milestone, student speakers highlighted the hard work, spirit, and sense of purpose that defined their academic journeys. “Though our programs have different focuses, we share a common bond—the drive to make a difference in the lives of those we treat,” said Kamila Wiklanski, D.P.T. (CHS-Downers Grove PT ’25). “This is just the beginning. The world of healthcare is ever-changing, and we will continue to learn, grow, and adapt as compassionate professionals.”

“Our greatest strength wasn’t just in our knowledge—it was also in the way we showed up for each other,” said Katie Fluharty, M.S. (CHS-Glendale SLP ’25). “We were, and still are, better together. As we head into hospitals, clinics, classrooms, and communities—we carry that truth with us. The future of healthcare isn’t in silos. It’s in collaboration. It’s in connection. It’s in knowing that we don’t have to carry this work—or the world—on our own.”
